Meeting a head in ticknock - will try to catch you at the top of kilmashoghue
Definitely there ! Only cud get to gym once this week as I was too busy in the evenings & I couldnt commute as it was too icy/cold. Wasnt on bike last weekend either & my MTB spin was cancelled on thursday eve this week. Seriously going out of my brain - dying to get out on the bike having withdrawals from exercise lol!!!!!

Im the master of excuses in this sport sometimes Trenchy & definitely this week. Ooh & i forgot to add that I was busy working 12 hour shifts - ive been a grumpy fecker most days this week really : ( fresh legs tmw though yay !

First spin in a while after a hand injury... Really enjoyed it even if most of it was on my own... Met the guys and climbed kilmashogue, tough in the snow, Vinny caught us on the way up and met trenchy and his mate up there... As we were ready to head, had a mechanical... Pedals wouldn't engage with the wheels...trenchy's mate reckoned the grease had frozen... He suggested I head to the hut... Then suggested I piss on it to defrost it! I would never degrade me or my bike like that so I headed for the hut... Then after walking for 3 minutes later there I was, bike in ditch and me pissing on the cassette... And it bloody well worked!! Went to call the guys but then realised I left phone in car and they were well gone... Cycled on myself on the trails around Ticknock, good fun
Pity you had no phone Glenn could have done a video and put up on you tube as a "mtb trail side fix"
Great to hear the hand is mended and your back in the saddle

Pity about that Glen - but at least you got some downhill fun and not just the climb! Lots of snow up there - Was like being in the Alps up there today - without the altitude. Perfect timing in meeting Trenchy at the top of Kilmashogue . Stuck to the trails mostly but a little bit off trail down from Metro onto Robins trail. Great craic and lovely spin! Thanks all.
Brilliant spin today. Magical all way round so pretty ! Always love the yearly snow spins. Thanks for organising Tara , great company all way round. And I found out its fine to commute even last week yay , I wanted to but was afraid id skid on ice. Ha ha thats the best story ever Gleann pissing on ur bike , ur a legend ! Glad u got a spin even if it was bit pissy lol
