Good spin yesterday, Gary didn't make it, hope you are better. Terry and I went up Kilmashogue through the still, humid heat and we were both knackered when we met Phil at the top sitting there full of cool calmness. We took a breather and watched as all manner of people passed including Keith and the Grennan brigade. Over to metro 2 and across the hill past all the felling (new to me) to near the old MAD course, back up the fire road where Terry challenged a big unit of a MAD lad who was determined to get to the top first as fast as his full face helmet would allow to a sprint. Then up and around and finally over to Legends picking up Vinny Fitzsimons en route .. where Terry's rear tyre punctured ... the sprint power being too much to take earlier in the spin, he shredded the rubber completely. Fixed the puncture, dropped to the road, home through Glencullen being cheered by all the locals ... some crew on tri bikes thought it was them they were cheering for... something to do with Ironmans.. caused some chaos amongst the more nervy among them as there barreled along. Vinny was spotted with discarded fancy empty drinks bottles stuffed up the legs of his shorts .... kinda like the John Dorris look going on ;-)
