What can I say . The classic up and down .
We headed up tribraddan lane and into the forest at the new sleepers and steps , fast becoming my favourite way to get started. .. we all enjoyed the technical rooted climb to the start of sleepers . This got us to the end of legends xc were we rode trail as good as you can against its natural flow... but getting on to legends down hill gave a big boost of energy and laughs I think this helps with the climb back up towards the woka wokkas. .. we all did very well on this ass kicker of a climb. I missed one of the big step ups and went off for a soggy lie down. We got up woka wokkas like mountain lions . Have to say Colm was on fire with his climbin up front with Bon , while myself and Emmet race up just behind. Alzer just back from illness enjoyed the climb settling in to a nice pace . I made it up to fairy castle without a dab taking advantage of the winD to my back ... so I was lit up like Christmas going down the front on the walkers trails and high speed. Then to a shlomy Pennyfeather trail all the way to xtc... like gods on mountain bikes ... so happy to get put get crew . Thanks a million

Great route that’s beautiful in its simplicity; up and down. It’s a long climb from the bottom of the WW up to Fairy Castle so the secret is to keep it steady and hold something in reserve for when you need a burst of energy to get over something. Roo made it up with no daps, he almost had one but he recovered. Nice one! Long climb up means a long descent. The drop from Fairy Castle to Lambs is just amazing. What a way to finish!

Brilliant spin as usual. Weather had cleared up nicely so we even got a bit of romantic star gazing in. I'd forgotten what the stars looked like! The trails were super mushy in places though and I fell off my surf board a few times on the new trail down but jasus it's such a great descent from fairycastle all the way to the road. Can not wait to do that when it has dried up. It will be savage. Great crew out and good to have Al back with his usual dose of filthy and weird stories! Roll on sunday.
