Members Spins from 8th June
At the moment we are in mid covid times and will hopefully get to post covid times which will be the new normal.
Back in pre Covid times Paul started a thread “How do people view the club?”
http://forum.epicmtb.com/showthread....-view-the-club
The one thing that will not have changed if you read Paul’s thread is what people want from being a club member is to meet people and get out on their bikes.
From next Monday 8th June the distance for roaming will be increased to 20 km from home and the whole of the County you live in.
https://2kmfromhome.com/20km
So what can we to do to meet people and spin?
Current guidelines for meeting in groups of 4 has being increased to 15 for exercise keeping a social distance apart and following good hygiene practices
http://www.cyclingireland.ie/downloa...0phase%201.pdf
Elite athletes will also be able to return to training venues such as stadia, swimming pools and arenas.
As the max number is 15 would suggest that members buddy up and arrange to get out together in groups no bigger than 15
So how do we do this?
Post on forum if your going out where your starting from and what time your starting at, we all have different 20k circles to roam with a lot of people having different working hours schedules, suspect a lot of people would be happy to go out any day of the week for company.
So what happens if more than 15 want to go?
If you know 15 are going just start another group pick a later/earlier time? different start location? do route in reverse? another area?
Use the head no more than 15 split in to smaller groups
When you head out remember especially if your wearing your club kit that you are an ambassador for your club and sport and compliance with guidelines is expected of you and treat all other outdoor users with respect.
Please remember when out not to be merging in to a bigger group keep it 15 max. maybe also consider adding a face mask to go with the latex gloves in your first aid pack.
