some spin all, some spin, Glenn and Harri met on time - Djouce was enveloped in a shroud of mystery - fog and a sense of 'what's happening in there' with the felling in mind. the weather wasn't too unkind - temperature about 12 or 13 degrees, no rain.

We got to the new fence lobbed the bikes over and we were on our way, spoke to a few lads who were doing their own thing and off we went like scalded frogs. right up to the top - then down the enudro trail, XTC then we came to a sudden stop - the fire road has been cut so square into the end of the trail you'd be hard pressed to roll on to it! so we didn't - then jumped some logs on to benchcut - the over the road to GC - then sliddery - probably soaking at this stage! Gleen was on a flyer - and didn't look back, I was my usual muck-for-brains self and just kept charging after him.

Earls drive was pleasant but slippy, staying central on the big bike helps - you'd cycle up a wall if you had the grip. Then up the red road -- which was so immersed in mist we made it to the top unexpectedly - with plenty of gusto - hammered 'Stage 5' which was ridden like a swashbuckling Errol Flynn like epic. Springing and bouncing from wet root to wet root, muck in the eyes, wet on the bum, and shoes like an otters pocket.

having slam-dunked that one, it was off to ride around the dry lake and over to the section that goes to catskin - at this point Glenn went right and I went left over some huge roots and we were both buckarooed like a pair of cotton headed ninny muggins. I have a big hurty on my shin from it. Still who cares, then lots of climbing over to towards the humps, down to lime-juicer, up the step (which in fairness is gone a long time) then over to outlaw - zero dabs all day - flipping ace!

got to the Car park and met Oz where he described as only a scientist can how he is now with child. Excellent story. he was walking his dog.

we gave our congratulations to Oz and he'll forget to tell Erica later - so it's here.

I was getting super cold, so I went home - happy as a pig in muck. Thanks to Glenn
Not a whole lot I can add to that very accurate and somewhat moving tribute to the morning spin! Was great fun, very wet but riding great up there. Besides bottom of xtc and top of benchcut we didn't come across any other damaged trails... Most fun you can have in the wet [emoji3526]
Cheers Harri - whose biking skills are matched only by his scribing skills...
Till next week!
