The more the merrier.

If you Google Maps ‘Barnaslingan Forest’ it should come up. You can also park at the blue church in Kilternan and cycle up.

Otherwise try this:

Some evening up the leadmines! Started with just me and [mention]cburge [/mention] for the first hour, then Caroline MacArdle joined before we finally bumped in Jenny and Jason, so we ended up with a good bunch. Did the club course a few times including the new exit point on section 3. Takes a bit of getting used to but well done to the lads for the hard work in digging it out. There’s a nasty wire fence at the new exit point, needs caution.

The ending of the evening was a bit of a letdown as we came back to the car park to find Caroline’s car had been broken into. Unfortunately she was still up the leadmines so I raced up to find her while Calvin (i really hope I have your name right) minded her car and rang the guards. I never did find Caroline but luckily she arrived back about two mins before the automatic gate to the car park was about to close.

Several hours later we’re now home and nothing valuable was taken from Caroline’s car. We’ve agreed we won’t be parking in Barneys car park anymore! That’s enough adventure for me this week!

Hmmm, was there a stump of a tree half blocking the exit? If not I think you missed the exit, descended a bit and had to do a hard left over the wire. The tree stump will be removed tomorrow. I’ll check it all on Sat.

So sorry Caro! Especially after a great evening out on the cycle. Had to leave ~8:45 so thanks Sarah for staying the final stretch & being a great guide

Could definitely have the wrong exit point, we had to jump over a tree to what we thought was the exit (most obvious looking point to leave the forest from the new trail) and there is a wire just there that some of us got caught in.
