Saturday 30th May 10.00 Glenmalure

Glenmalure lodge Hotel - Croaghnamoira and Funky Chicken Ridge - always good for a laugh and -weather forecast for the end of the week is excellent.
Drive to Laragh turn left at Lynams
go down the road stay right over the bridge
go up the hill
and take the turn off for Glenmalure
drive all the way up the hill and down the Shay Elliot and when you get to the Crossroads
The Glenmalure Lodge Hotel is on your left.
I've a pain in me **llix with safe easy trails !
The Climbs are animal but the corresponding descents are mental..choose your machine carefully !

Sounds interesting, might have to skive off work for this one, don't think I've been out on any Saturday spin yet..

ah Jaysus Funky Chicken ridge just won't be the same without the death schlomp or the climb up Croaghnamoira will be positively handy now without the hurricane wind and driving sleet!! feck this could be the one and only weekend to ride it !!

Righto Slackers..i hope to jaysus you were all riding your bikes somewhere knarly and savage..we had a great spin up over the Wicklow way to Slieve maan and across and up Croaghnamoira..savage..first of all we went up the Wicklow way..till Karlos got a puncture...
heres a picture as i bombed away from them in a hangover fuelled frenzy !!

then we had to pedal real fast to avoid the avalanches !!

after that then there was an awful lot of slagging and then it got serious and Killian and Carol had a savage race all the way up Croaghnamoira without dabbing..

then Captain Birdseye got in on the act and held them up just at the top !

then the Captain got an icecream Headache while I prepared to do the worlds first skydive off the top of Croaghnamoira

then after another couple of punctures..we had the usual dash off Funky Chicken ridge..heres Billy Joe McAllister himself jumping off the funky Chicken ridge

then Adamski had a little dab and everybody went whizzing past me

then killian took off like a mad thing..
you can just about make out Jack and loser force 4 in the center of the photo theres 3 little dots..but Killian is already at the bottom at the river !!!

Great spin today guys. Serious 'Can I have my cert now' climbs ! Richie is truly a leader of men - not even a barrel of beer can stop the man. Early contender for 'Savage of the Year Award'. And what about that guy who wandered in off the set of 'Platoon II' in that pic with Colm. I didn't know they had paddy-fields up there !
