I understood that outdoor sports, golf tennis etc. were starting again on the 26th April. Government didn't mention cycling in the list of outdoor sports but I'm living in hope we're back on spins at the end of the month. After each lockdown once the golfers go back our spins start up again..... Can't wait to see spins in this section of the forum again!
Keith I just read the cycling Ireland article thar you posted. That's ridiculous, I can't believe that they said we can't do group spins on 26th April. The government said that outdoor sports like golf & tennis for example could resume on 26th April. They never said anything about cycling or any other outdoor sports not being able tl resume on that date. I listened to the whole speech from Michael Martin. My dad's golf club is opening then. Anyway hopefully we'll be back from then. I'm devastated now I was really counting on us being back on the 26th!

Seriously I have no idea why golf is such a thing here in Ireland. I don’t know one person who plays the thing and every time the news is on they’ve to tell me how the best of the Irish started brightly but has now fallen off the pace and are in 50th position or something. Greg Allen is forever telling me about these lads.... it’s akin to the cycling news being how Sam Bennett was looking good for the first 50km but sadly rolled over the line in 50th by the end in EVERY FREAKING NEWSBREAK ON THE RADIO! Who said it was the ruination of a good walk. Now crazy golf, that’s a different story.

It’s not half as bad as being a roadie...auld lads on 10 grand bikes with the Lycra just about holding in their gut or the skinny lads talking about ftp’s and posting their Zoom races on Strava.
Ha ha Lads I would try anything at this stage even golf polo on bikes if it means we can post a flippin spin up on this forum! My rants might get worse the longer we're not allowed spins, next u will find me protesting like some mad wan on o'connell Street ! I jest, I'm sure we're back v soon. Honestly thank urself lucky Donagh u aren't surrounded by golfers as me & my sister are completely outnumbered. I even tried to stop boring conversations about par 4s & bogies, yards & shots on the back 9 from the family whatsap group but it didn't go down so well ha ha. Mtb-golf-polo interesting....
