That was a cracking morning for Epic. Met with Gary and the club . We had some new riders join the spin this morning. Great group of ladies with Gary and lads . We had a father and son team and a new flyer of a young lad . The funny thing about the bikes and how the trails have developed along side the bike tech is it can make or break you . Low , slack geometry with good tyres can make you a legend only if you can ride up the hill too . The young Calvin was strong and fit, his trek was letting him down and making his spin harder . He had a fall on a tech down hill , deadening his leg severely. Hope he recovers and get out again with us . The father and son team Ger and Callum were working on their climbing. We had to let them do their own thing as the young lads were biting at the bit . Great for my son Jonah to hear sure good stories of how Nev and Gary's asthma got to be more livable as they grew .
It was one of the best spins I've been on with the youths bar the crash of Calvin. Thanks to Geoff, Kevin dads . Legend.
