Thanks for the spin Lawdie, hope your back is better soon! After you left we raced up the coillte climb, up the rocky river bed (at this point Alan’s bike broke down so we lost him too), swung a left up to fairy castle and then down the back of fairy castle to the coillte black trail before blasting up the fire road to the aerials and splitting off our separate ways to head home. Myself and Niamh took ‘billy Bob’ to the bottom.
Good to be out, was surprisingly dry in some areas and very wet in others. Good think I’m not biking this weekend as my shoes will need a week to dry out :D

Thanks Sarah, disaster for me, but still really enjoyed seeing the gang. Chain went again, there’s more links in it than the original chain, think Triggers new broom! Then my little tumble on Saturday was physically haunting me and mid way around the lower back said it’s my turn! Gods were speaking so avoiding another week off and more tablets I trailed off.

Glorious evening, clear sky and no wind. Coming down the bottom metro with the sun splitting trees casting beams everywhere was just an amazing experience. Everyone’s riding so well and we mixed up the route somewhat to get in some more climbs/trails.

Great spin, lovely evening, lovely people, only problem, the freehub on the new nukeproof wheel I got sent as a replacement when the DT Swiss 1900 hub failed, now this one is gone too! After only 4 spins or 5 if you count last night!

Thats it, I'm going to insist on only Hope Pro 4 Hubs now. They never let me down in years of riding them.

That's unbelievable Al, such bad luck. You'll miss a few spins now again waiting on a replacement. Know anyone with a spare 29er rear wheel you could borrow until you get sorted?

I know, hard to believe. They must do zero QA in the factories where they make these hubs. Maybe I could get a job for one of those manufacturers where they could stress test their freehub to see how many spins it will last with me grinding as I do lol
