Well I just said Djouce, infer what you want :)
Lads were great, really tough climbing and they handled it so well.
We went up the top of XTC over to the next car park. Down the road to Ballinastoe, up the government tracks, off to the boardwalks, up to the top of Djouce and then.
Well, we met a plethora of walkers/runners in a race, Tony and Gareth pin-balled down between them, but jammed the brakes when one surprised Walker/runner had a coronary hearing the pawls battering away.
We tracked the walkers for a while and this nice little old man allowed us to jump his 12” diversion fence, Tony just rode through it… the heathen.
Down stage 5, down benchcut, down another trail and back to the car park.
My story didn’t end there, I had lost the helmet visor in the first 15 minutes, so back up and out to the road and presto there was my black visor, being dry humped by a slug. After breaking up the love affair I dragged myself back, tried to do XTC but sadly it’s gone, the feckers.
Best part of the spin was Gareth didn’t moan once, he was such an angel , he keeps the motto every silver lining has a cloud.
Peace out y’all.
