Forecast looks good so might stop for a few skills drills too if there is appetite for it.

That was deadly, started off on a cold but sunny morning and headed towards glencullen direction as we would be going to the leadmines the back way. Good bit of climbing with never ending amount of cars passing us. Muirus reckons they were heading for GAA practice. We would later find out Muirus knew everyone and everything about the area.

Was amazing cycling towards the sun with the golden leaves under us.

Bit tricky getting down onto the eniskerry road but we made it somehow before the huge killer goats jumped down on us from the trees.

OK, someone else continue the story from here...

P.s. thanks Max for the route and the skills sessions, really enjoyed it.
Great to see John Harri and Keiren after a good while not seeing them.

Ok so here is the 2nd part

Up the bottom trail where Harri tried to sabotage the spin with a stick in his gears, then over to Leadmines and up the tower via the bottom trail.
Stopped to session some techy climbing, great success!
Section 1 and 2 of the Club Course, felt a bit abandoned and Al was overcome with emotions, felt like homecoming to him, or maybe it was his dodgy foot shorting some nerve connections.
Some track stand practice on the fireroad and then the new descent left of the Boxing Ring trail under the pylons.
Eventually we made back to Barneys for some rock hopping and we almost lost Caroline, Al's 'calling for help' voice is something to be heard to be believed, must its most likely to summon Social Services then Mountain Rescue.
One more trail and back at Slashes Church!

I never realised that was why it’s called slashes church!!

That was the perfect Saturday spin, nice pace, some new trails, no major falls, some new skills learned, good company, crisp blue skies and all done by 12ish.
