I got a Specalized Levo SL earlier this week too, same as Terry’s but lower spec model.
I haven’t been able to mountain bike any winter for about five years since I developed bad exercise induced asthma and really miss going out in the bike in the winter.
I’d have been one of the loudest giving out about emtb’s in the past but have to admit I completely missed the point. A 25kg emtb with a huge motor is nothing like riding a normal mtb but one of the lightweight emtb’s like the one I got is just brilliant. I’m not fit at the moment but had a great spin yesterday where I did plenty and still burned about 800 calories. More importantly I was out on the bike enjoying the trails and not at home on the couch pissed off.
They are not for everyone but I’m sure I’ll get a load of (well deserved) slagging for this post but they make a lot of sense for some.

Exactly! Who cares what bikes people are on. If someone whizzes past me on a climb and they are on an ebike I couldn't care less as their on an ebike and I'm using just my legs. End of. Lots of valid reasons for people to have them besides the fact I bet there great crack. At least were all out on the trails as that's y we do it. More importantly I saw you were mentioning your asthma I got prescribed a ventolin inhaler last week. I cant believe the difference it made to me. I've used it on two rides now and one of them was up in the forests. Its so amazing being able to breath properly again. Hope it lasts. Might not bother getting my nose reset now after a high ball smash in hockey years ago. Anyway congrats on the new bike & enjoy!
