Saturday 8 Jan 9.30 Slade

All welcome, post if coming. Probably around 3hrs. Parking at Brittas community centre. Put the blue gardenia pub into Google maps if you’re not sure of location.

May try for this loop if people want to or can just stick to slade.

Great day for it. Myself, Niamh, Terry, Glenn, Kieran, Keith and Graham with a cameo from Al back at the cars. Great weather (aka I didn't rain and the sun actually came out). Terry very kindly lead the way with some input from Niamh who was mad to drag me down some enduro trails. Lovely day, thanks all for joining. Now to try and get all the mud off my gear. Deffo one of the muddiest days I've had.

Woke up and looked out the window, dark and raining...great day for a spin!

Terry led us around a muddy Slade, with perfect slippy mud and wet-root training.. Glen leading us down the trails closely followed by non-ebikeNiamh...

Coffee and chat afterwards with Terry and Keith and a drive by wave from Alan Potter!
Thanks Sarah enjoyed the outing great morning for getting reacquainted with wet mucky slippy trails

Really enjoyed that spin today. Was very wet and very muddy, skids galore, splashing through every puddle and caked head to toe - and that was only the ride up! Usual mix of xc and enduro stuff in slade, great spot.
Good fun with a great bunch out, everyone flying it with Terry “I'm not fit” charging up the hills leaving us all well behind. The muddy climbs were seriously energy sapping and legs were dead by the end.

Thank god for the water proof gear too! And nice cameo from Alan at the end

That's also to Sarah, good call on the venue!
Till next week

Thoroughly enjoyed that. What a great bunch out. First club spin in 2 months so everything was a bit rusty. Thankfully the climbs in Slade are short. Mud was fun, except for the time spent easing me, my gear, the bike, and the car. Thanks again Sarah for posting and T for the route suggestions. Nice cuppa after too. New Years resolution - get out more regularly.
