Posting this up early to give plenty of notice. Early start but car park could fill up quickly on a weekend.
Meeting at lower carpark unless it's full, in which case just head up through the barrier to the upper car park.
Neville will hopefully guide us around, did an expert job during the week! If not, I have a good idea anyway. Worth the spin down folks and with the current dry conditions these are some of the best natural trails around.
Expect 20k plus and 1000m of climbing at social pace.

Thanks all for coming out this morning. Very humid and i sweated absolute buckets on the climbs, but worth it for those trails, they are savage! Lost Glenn early enough after a mechanical cut short his spin unfortunately. Everyone flying down the trails and I was banjaxed by the end. Neville made use of the bike tool stand while the girls circled around trying to keep the flies away :D
Al also had a major malfunction and snapped his derailleur, thankfully on the last trail back to cars.
Great to finally get to Hush! Thanks for posting Tony and for leading with guidance from Neville!
So so humid out there, I was nearly done at about 400m climbing but somehow hung on til the end.
Hope Glenn is ok after a big off and hope you can get your bike fixed quick Al.
4pm now and I've only just managed to drag myself out to clean my bike and myself
Great spin, Hush is so much fun in those dry conditions, it was nigh on perfect today. Unfortunately it's trashing down since 5pm so may be a while before we can lash down Sasquatch or Big Johnnie with such bravado again! What trails great banter hope Glenn is ok, fair thump onto the fireroad on the hip. Cut short with a slash on the tyre had to slowly make my way back to the car, couldn't even get pipeline in.
Started off so well! First trail was awesome but at the bottom my back brakes went. Ultimately what caused the problem was the pads were worn to the metal…thought I could get away with one brake taking it easy, got through the next trail ok and was thinking that at the bottom I'd take on board Iomairs suggestion of swapping the front pads to the back but at the fire road intersection I had too much speed, washed out front wheel and hit the deck hard. Hip is grazed and bruised but I was worried about my hand, that was quite sore and swollen. Headed home after that. Hand seems ok now thankfully. New pads ordered too!
Spin sounded great and raging I missed out on most of it! Will have to go back
Great spin all, thanks for posting Tony and Nev for acting assistant guide. Was great to finally get down there, had heard great things and It didn’t disappoint. I was brutal on the climbing but really enjoyed the descending. Some really great trails up there. Heal up well Glenn. See you all soon
