Great spin. The conditions were perfect.
myself, Niamh, Al, Emmet and 2 others from another group joined us and bonny or course. Emmet had a still the 1st run and got a bar end in the rib. He headed off after that. Hopefully it's not too bad.
We got 4 stages in, Emerald from top to bottom which is such a savage put a massive smile on your face trail. 30 odd km and 1000m. Ended of with an old ews/gravity enduro trail that has been destroyed over the years with storms and trees down. The trees have been cleared away. It's a bit over grown with ferns now but soon they will die off and it will be awesome. Finished with a road spin back to the Van's.

Glad you all had a good spin. I had an awkward crash on the first trail, impaling my chest with the handlebar. It's not fractured but the recoverys still the same. 6 weeks at least off the mountain bike. Hopefully I'll be able to get out on the road in a week or so
The trails were amazing. There is something quite unique about Carrick. I did feel under dressed/under protected compared to the rest and vowed to at least get knee and elbow protection.
Also need to get a proper front mud guard as there was a lot of puddles so I was getting a lot of mucky water in the eyes.
That was a rough fall Emmet, heal quick.
