Ok pepole this spin will be ok for any new people as we will be mainly doing flat tracks and a few technical trails ant type of bike will do.Plenty of big gear pushing and great views.Maybe even a bevvy after spin so bring your civies.
Wow great nite guys.First thanks CAHAL for getting me to do it and thanks to all that showed up and travelled big distances to ride.Top notch crew of reservoir dogs did all vartry tracks and then up callow hill for fast decent.One sharp right hander left gary abnd the culchie searching for railings to keep them on track.After callow back towards r wood on farm lanes and skirted lake on fast trails.Now the prizes in the form of creamy pints at coach house and great craic well worth doing.Thanks all
As with all the Tuesday night spins this was another cracker. I'm really enjoying these. I think this one turned into a 'night spin' by the end, it was getting dark, and quiet & everyone was shooting along.
First time I've kept up with the bunch on all the climbs. That felt good! Rock on.
& thanks to the whole crew.
I was looking forward to that and wasn't disappointed. The reservoir was surprising, who'd have thought you could have that much fun on trails that flat? Then the long, fast, flowy singletrack on Callow hill was bloody great.
Big thanks to Karl for the tour, and as always a big thanks to everyone for making the spin so much craic.
Over the next few weeks this will turn from an 'evening' to 'night' spin. If you don't have night lights, get some. No matter what upgrade you think your bike needs forget it these are more important.
Perhaps Al or someone equally knowledgeable would post up some suggestions on brands etc?
