Hello Ballinastoe for 6.30 up to the Boardwalks to Djouce and back around by the wicklow way and down the Blast Course
Thursday 1.10.09 Ballinastoe for 6.30
oh it'll be the usual out of the saddle FR creasing session...
feckin hell what an adventure !
Up through Ballinasgooberfull on 6" XC styley..up the Boardwalks..dim and windy..up the back of Djouce..down the front of Djouce..with my new light pointing every way but the right way !!
But at least I wasn't in the troubles jacksie had..he had to ride it with out his lights !
then we had a grim spin back along the boardwalks...then I escorted the blind jacksie back to the car park down more of the Boardwalks and back along the fireroad to the car park whike the badboys rode the Blast course !! some craic until jack ruined the spin but hey its bone dry, it was a creasing session up that savage hill with an even faster descent off djouce..
I nearly killed jack a couple of times when I got too far ahead of him !! its feckin dark up there with no lights!

I forgot about Terry mcDonagh and his attempt at being MountainbikeUK rider of the year..every inch a Ninja Goober, highly competent but dresses like an add for CRC !
I saw ye crazy flutes from Djouce - as ye were coming off the hill - I saw this stream of light coming off the hill - it was totally gnar to the max or whatever, I never saw poor Jacksie though!
I made my way up to the stile (you know the one up from Ack at the wall and before you go up the grass to the boards) to see if yiz were coming that way.
I waited for about 3.75 hours or maybe minutes and then fecked off
ooooh fook - I was very stupid doing the scary cliff bit before the Best Descent on my own! now I know how you felt last week Byrner - no, not very nice at all!
the rest of Djouce was part party fun time with tyres sticking to everythang
I saw a rake of light coming around a corner later on and just had the "Yo.." of "You shower of ***********s" mouthed when it turned out not to be ye!
Imagine that - your out for a nice evening spin and a weirdo from around the corner nearly calls you and your mates a group of homosexuals for no reason?!

If it was your clubmates you could have said it anyway! Would have been very apt if it had been that club we don't talk about.
Another one of them zero craic spins, our great leader was on a mission and made us all suffer, we must chip in and buy him a saddle and ask him to use it. The climb up Djouce was a laugh, so much yapping. The blast course is still riding amazing, despite the death of Big Vinnie.
I was on Pottery Road yesterday and it looked like Richie was rebuilding Big Vinnie in his front garden...Crazy mother...great idea just the same...imagine riding in your front gate everyday to hit that badboy...ohhye

fecking hell, what a spin. sorry for ruining it with my light malfunction. the pace from the cars up to the top of Djouce was savage and non stop, but the rest with no lights was just scary, I had to concentrate so much to see what was in front of me. up the wicklow way was bad but the broad-walks was just some thing else. The gale force wind blowing me off was not helping.. but still better than staying in and watching EastEnders!!
