Sunday 10th January XC Spin 10.00am Palmers Pub

Going from Palmers and up to 3 Rock via Johnny Foxes.
3 Hours.
XC types..this is not a freeride spin or a handy spin.
it will be lengthy and steady.

Due to weather and promise of more snow..this will very likely just be the Leadmines and The Scalp..however judging by the last couple of Snow spins it will be the craic...
But lads its hard work so experienced riders only.

Oh God .... can my anchient old legs take any more??

Don't know about yours buddy, but mine are stiff already....that last climb up to the aerials was killer I was nearly in tears but Byrner kept me goin!!!

I kept waiting for somebody else to get off and walk but I was ****ed if I was going to be first so just kept slogging away - legs feel like lead! I was really impressed with the way that you kept Ryan behind you ...... for about 10 mts! And what about Doris - he came past me on that climb like I was stopped - and he's a ****in' vet too! Come on Fergal give us back the Sports NPS!!!

there was no way I could push the middle ring and my granny ring kept suckin up the chain I was coming close to getting "cranky" isn't that right Byrner!!!!

jesus..that was hard, conditions were harder than yesterday and legs and bodies hammered.
I chanced flats because of the clipping in problems from yesterday.
Pedals, even the chepa ones were great. Feckin 5.10 shoes with no grip in the snow desperate. I literally couldn't walk uphills.
STill another great spin.
However, some people wouldn't go up to ride down Katygollagher. Shame on you. It was the saving grace of the spin. Fantastic..as for the Scalp..it took no prisoners!
I need a rest !

Fair play to you going out again today, I just couln't do it......the pain from yesturday still has me in a joc!!! You have killed me once again Byrne....But I feel like something is missing from today and its my spin i love me sunday spins but I suppose I did it yesturday so not to worried.

With a fresh Damo and Oz you can only imagine what it was like up the Leadmines today!!
Heres a few pictures. There wasn't much hanging around and Its amazing to see so many happy faces out on a grim day.
I can't believe certain people didn't go up Katygollagher. Even if I only had one leg,i'd drag myself up it.

hi all, sorry i just couldn't face the push up KGs.... the cycle home was long and lonely, i'm officially a shadow of my former self...

Yea it was a hard slog today in the fresh snow, still it was great to great out but like Shona just couldn't face going up Katys!!
