As the XC race season approaches the pace at the front of the Tuesday/Thursday "Savage" spins is going to increase as our serious racers prepare to chase National honours. For me (and probably a few others!) it'll be a matter of when rather than whether I get dropped!
However I've really enjoyed these spins up to Christmas and they've brought my riding on a huge amount in a short space of time so I'm really loathe to give them up. So I intend to keep turning up and "hanging-in" for as long as I can and then completing the spin at the best pace that I can manage (possibly with a few judicous short-cuts!). There are lots of people in the club who are as strong and stronger than me so come and keep me company if you fancy a reasonably hard evening spin. But, just to emphasise, the pace will be steady but we will not be stopping so you must be self-sufficient!
