My god if it wasn't foot deep snow it was foot deep mud. Plan B lead to some sillyness.

Yeah the silliness made up for the state of the place, a foot of snow in the good places and a lot more in the drifts with branches and trees down all over the place.
The snow was that melty slushy virtually unridable stuff. Ten rotations of the pedals and you move three inches. That must be one of the best workouts ever with the least distance traveled ever.
I've learnt my lesson now, handlebar mounted lamps and berm tracks don't mix. That became all the more evident when I tried to upload the helmet cam footage when I got home and my head was virtually never pointing in the same direction as the lamp so the footage is useless.

Yeah that was a good old laugh alright, the four of us trying to pedal up the track like idiots and getting nowhere, the snow was like an Armadilo, crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside.
