do not under any circumstances try and navigate through Vertex..the trail after the humps !!! its the thickest mud/schlomp i've ever seen, you will weep for your mammies !!..however Gran Canaria has reopened but watch out for 2 fallen trees on it..still well worth a go..!

Is vertex the one which heads towards the old pools after the humps along the side the road with no trees? the off camber trail at the end?

Vertex,yes..thats the one, my god its unbelievably schlompy..the off camber trail at the end is catskin!
Gran Canaria is an old one of Robins..i'd have to show you, but there might be somebody on your spin that knows where it goes !
Thanks for leading another good spin Gary, sure there were a few longish stops but it doesn't really spoil the craic, even the rescue run was fun.... and the smell of burning brake pads after Barneys was just pleasantly intoxicating :)
Good spin tonight, six of us out, no mechanicals, nobody lost or left behind, nice steady pace from start to finish.
G C is a nice little trail, shame about the trees down in the middle of it, and the added little jumps are a nice touch too. Might go up next week and sort some of the fallen trees out and also do something with that over grown gorse in the middle clearing, sick of pulling thorns out of my legs and hands.

great idea Gary, i'm going to use GC in the Nationals..my priority is the Developmental race in B'stoe and the Leadmines at the moment but any clearing in Djouce would be much appreciated
