Better late than never, usual head cases please for some kindlestown capers and some GOD madness.

Well that was a good little spin, just the four of us out, Myself, Andykc, Colm and Bren, hit Kindlestown first, always good Craic in there although the shlomp was a bit thick and hard going on times. Across then to GOD where Bren decided to ride up someone's driveway instead of the woods ha ha, we headed down the long decent to the bottom and got absolutly drowned, it was like a river flowing down there, visability was poor too with a fog in the trees which made it even more interesting. From there we headed back up to the long decent, headed back down half way and cut in to the right and headed back up to the carpark via the lovely bit of single track which leads you to the forest entrance, short enough spin but good enough Craic concidering the conditions. Cheers lads for heading out, see you on the next one.

Cheers for the spin was good fun. Really spooky going up those climbs with so much fog and just seeing lights appearing out of no where.

Every time I go to GOD I seem to break something. This time it was my brand new hydration pack. Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a sturdy cheap pack that will fit the usual tubes/tools etc? Or is best to just go for one of the water only ones and stick the gear in a saddle bag?

Andy I've had the camel back mule for the last few years with no problems what so ever. A few quid more than some but the only problem I've had with it is my water freezing this year.

SHams dead on the money about the MULE. saddle bags are a disaster, unless you are racing and carrying the minimum in one. The amount of them I find on the hills is staggering.
The problem though with bigger bags is that people are inclined to fill them.
There are smaller bags than the MULE that will hold all you need,

It took a bit of coaxing and encouragement to get going, I think it was Bren promising that he wouldn’t complain once he got past the barrier that did it. The conditions were bad; fog, rain, snow, sleet, wind and shlomp, but the biking was good.

Ah well, it was better than watching Eastender Street.

Besides you can't slag Gary the coaking involved to get you out of the car in the first place was phenomenal.
Was like trying to coak a child away from a checkout sweet stand

Ah yes but you see i remember the last time i was up there with AndyW and how bad it was so thats why i didn't want to get out of the car :)
