Seeing as Moneyscalp is cancelled anyone fancy some DH Sunday morning ? That's of course if Adam doesn't want to move up the digging in the Glen instead.
Be good to get a gang out
Update:
Meeting Blue Light 10 Am Sunday morn or if you want find us up on Dream Track
Cheers
Bren

If conditions are that bad then trying to go digging in the Glen would be unproductive.
Sorry to hear the DH is cancelled.
But when one door closes another opens -
There is a BMX Race on this Sunday in Ballinrobe Mayo at 11:00, have a go and see if have the elbows for it.

I was thinking Dream Track. (Snow dependant though I'll confirm Saturday).I know there's a heap of big jumps on there but ya can ride around any of them you don't like the look off.
It's far from mud and roots but it's a good place for building confidence at speed and of course the air miles.
There's one table top jump on the new section that would be well worth while sessioning for anyone not too confident on the jumps. I worked out last year at the NPS races that if I was to significantly improve my times I would have to take on a few more of the jumps / "shortcuts" so I need the practice.
Bar digging days I hope to be out every Sunday on the DH bike and I'll be mixing it up track wise. Destination wise I'm easy.
If people are interested in riding somewhere else just shout. It be a lot better for us all to be buzzing off each other in the same spot. Peer pressure leads to significant improvements :D
or sillyness
Sounds good Bren, I'm not going to make it this Sunday but I need to work on my jumping skills so I'll definitely call in to one of these sessions... If the Coach lets me skip the XC training of course :)
No bother Max. I'm going to try make this a regular get together if there's interest.
We'll probably do a session at Enniskerry Dj's that will suit anyone wanting to increase their confidence in the air soon. We'll need the place to dry out little first so we don't damage it. The table top line there is ideal for it but the parking sucks on the weekends. As the evenings stretch out I'd certainly watch this space.
Cummins ran a few sessions there last year that were very popular. I'm sure he can be persuaded again.
I learnt more off him about jumping in half an hour up Dream track than months of poncing around on my own.
my attitude to XCers taking on DH sessions is this, go for it absolutely 100% ..it will only make you better.
And vice versa, limit yourself to one kind of riding discipline and you just limit your enjoyment of the sport.
Don't get injured messing though! That would be unforgiveable

That would be brilliant Bren! I can do some air but when it comes to bigger ski jump type senders and gap jumps I'm scared sh1tless...
I have my spanking new fullface and some pads and I'm usualy sensible with DH stuff so I should stay safe. The last thing I need is an injury but I suppose it shouldn't be more dangerous than coming down Katys at night on a XC bike!
Richie is right by the way and XC riders are very welcome.
It's safety first. As this is a up in the spins section a full face is required if your attending. I have a spare smelly one if anyone's stuck.
Things will be very informal as we'll all be there to ride our bikes. If you want advise or constructive critique just pick someone who looks like they know what they are doing and ask. If what they say makes no sense pick someone else :)
Please don't have me use my first aid skills as I'll wrap you up in so much bandages and cling film the subsequent photos will appear on bondage sites across the inter web.
Consider yourselves dually warned :)
We'll meet in the Blue Light car park for 10AM Sunday morning, if for some reason the weather doesn't play ball we'll move from there to somewhere else handy.
Just to let you know Brendan,
Dreamtrack is in pretty bad nick now. Most of the jumps are impossible to get due to wrecked run-ins or lips. Unfortunatly haven't had time to get up and fix it. Up to yourselves if ye still want to give it a shot. The snow/rain since christmas has taken its toll on the place.
