Craic Spin this week and next

Could some one please do the Craic spin this week and next as i'm away on a weeks hols to wales, thanks.

oh yeah..I meant to put a post up about the parking in Djouce. There was a drama up there a couple of weeks go.
The nice guy who lives in the house directly across from the entrance came out to us and asked us to be concious of the way we park along the fence on the left before his house. He said it was none of us ( regulars!!!)
His wife and kids were nearly killed trying to get out of their entrance because somebody had parked a van right up near their entrance and obscured their view. This guy came tearing up the road and they didn't see him and narrowly missed the woman and her family. The Guards were called and there was a big drama, anyway hes a nice guy and while people are reluctant to leave their cars in the Car Park use a bit of discretion and park as far away from his entrance.
He also told us that theres now a permanent Garda presence in Enniskerry and the breakins have stopped.
The Farmer on the other side is cool too but just park sensibly and remember we don't live up there.

damn those branchs designed to jam straight into the rear mech tho.

an aside - the local farmers were all present when i got back with my mechanicals because some lunatic had set fire to the field / forest beside where we park. was burning a treat. he also mentioned that another half dozen cars were totally robbed on monday evening in djouce car park.

...so much for permanent Garda presence!

as to the fire, there is gorse burning all over the place, Glencullen side of Fairy, Prince Willies...

They must have been up in Glencullen too, there was a gorse fire up there this evening too!!!

I was in djouce yesterday and the car park had about 10 cars in it. *******s..what field was on fire AndyW, the one where we park for the XC race?

Yep it was right down the bottom of that field we were parked in. A forestry at the Bottom of the field. Farmer was running round with a steel bar lookin for some local Fire Starter. Saw others started in the distance.

yep thats the one. landowner was very unhappy cos it was his plantation that was burning. madness - if wind was blowing the other way fire would have been right thru the trees around Djouce car park - and the rest.

Thanks to the 3 hero's who tunred up for the spin! (Joe, Me, Alan Faro, AndyW) it was a great night to be out & we were flying - XTC, Toro (2 lovely crashes - because I was going too fast not too slow for a change) , Limejuicer, Bench-cut, Son of, Then AndyW took us on a freeride bonanza to the river - which was fun & invloved lots of log hopping! (skills) some downhill track, (whihc was great you can't pull out of anything with Joe on your tail you'll look like a chump!) then across the river up erals drive at a tremendous pace, then at the top connecting to the fire road poor AndyW had a bog-monster jump out of the water at him (branch / twig) which managed to upset his XTR derailleur something terrible - we went on down through GC (dust festival like being away on holidays) & we left him to the wolves & arsonists. . .
Thanks Joe for leading the spin! It was a belter - I had a grin on me all night & proabably while I slept . .

The one thing that did upset me was the fire lighting - these lads had burned this young farmers stock of trees - that's real money from his pocket, it's as bad as steeling / killing livestock it leaves me cold to think about it, these 'people' are getting away with terrible crimes & seem unstoppable. What the flip is happening? This fire was huge - we couldn't believe what we were seeing with our own eyes, it's hard to describe just how big a fire this was. The farmer had to ring a nighbour to tell him to get out of his house for fear it caught fire. . . sad.
