Oh yeah, I was on fire today, got back to the car park at 20.07 which is now my personal best time for this loop (1h 37min if we left at 18.30). When I dropped Jack (probably when he crashed on woccas) and Smithers I decided to go for it and see how quick I could do this loop.
Loving the new section up to WW (hated the tarmac climb) and everything else was riding great. Bit scary doing Bag'o'chips on my own, that's some sketchy trail!
Smoked a few roadies on the way to Lamb Doyles which always feels great :)
hahahhahaha..that was different..i got stuck minding a moany ****er, who went running last night and then didn't have any lunch today..so we ended up out the back with Ray and Shona..then we caught Kellyer..then Alfie, John Doris and myself caught the Culchie..
then John must have said Fcukit and off he went...so from the Mini Bog to Ravens rock and beyond the pain train took off and we got Steve at Ravens, then we caught Lynchy at the dream mile, then Damian on the Glencree road..then we caught Enduro at the pet cemetary , then we just hung out together while Alfie fecked off and I sent Enduro and Damian on while I waited for Doris, so we could do a lap of the leadmines !!
fair play to the Culchie, even though I am not a fan of that going off early nonsense at least you are trying..Lynchy tried explaining the logic of it..but all I could hear was the major from Fawlty Towers..but from what I could make of it, it made sense !
I was hoping to go flat out from the start but it wasn't to be..i'm too soft for my own good !

good man Max..nice one ! Alfie tore the pants off himself on bag o chips and Johnny D burst himself on it as well !!
That was great tonight .... probably left a bit too early but I really enjoyed pushing as hard as I could to stay away for as long as possible! Beginning to feel the benefit of the Tuesday spins now! Home before 9pm too ... 1st time for a while! The Max fella must have been really flying he passed me a good while before Smithers and Fergal!
well Fergal must have butchered Smithers once he hit the road because Smithers was just up the road from us leaving Enniskerry !
you cannot, not get better , doing these spins !!
Great spin and not too wet either , cycled up from house and decided to head off 10 min early (sorry Richie ) with Steve and Culchie as I was on the big bike and the sprint start kills me every time, paceing my self on the first climbs paid off and was able to keep up a good steady pace and finish strong.. just have to work on the sprint starts or get a lighter bike..
which Steve , Dave ( ye loser !!) I though we only had the one Steve and he was with us .i don't mind the early starts for some people..especially if they are on big bikes..I had a great spin with Alfie and John Doris once I revived Alfie !!
If people feel more comfortable going a little bit early..10 mins is the max though..just enough to get over the fierce start !! and then just try to hang on when the pain train passes..
Ye that was my plan and it worked once i got warmed up was moving at a firce pace.. at my age it takes a while to get going.... (It was the other Steve)
a deadly savage spin, was keeping Fergal, Smithers and Max Power in sight over the WW and woc a wocers but must have dozed off as i was suddenly flying towards the ground. caught up with Rusty Dave and Steve T on the mini bog, and we powered on, caught up with Fergal and Smithers again on the road. then Fergal Dave and myself blasted back on the road to the pub. fecking deadly spin
Steve thomas !! i knew i saw him in the car park...ah yeah good plan !! i get mixed up between the Steves and the Daves !!
I'm well impressed by the Culchie though !!
As we passed him i shouted
" look Alfie, that must be some lad from MAD, as the EPIC spin started at 6.30 !!"
he replied with something like this
"blehblehmart and market, blehbleh 9 decades of the rosary and the blessed hail mary and you wouldn't know a sheeps arse from a frothy cappacino, ye feckin blehbleh jackeen , i'd love a roide off Biddy from Glenroe ! "
MAX to the MAX, jeasus you were on fire tonight my Polish friend, lost you over the woccas and didnt see you again, I had some mad dog behind me "killkenny" his name was, good fast pace all the way to the end of green mile, the noises coming out of him I thought Lynchie was bad hahahaha. Got dropped again on the road but I dont care was able to keep up with Fergal all the way to the end of the off road section. Great spin again hate the road home but love the rest.

Cheers Guys!!!
