Jeysus that was great! I'd hoped that Richie, Jack and co. would be tired after yesterdays spin but the pace over the 1st hour was really savage! Rode down lots of stuff that I usually walk so well pleased with that! Thanks everybody.

ah yeah..that was the schizzle..a huge gang of savages..relentless pace..fierce start..everybody pushing the limits..with no casualties but several punctures on the Bone Shaker..
Spinners of the day were RichardL, Harri and Lucaz ( forfun) Lucaz first spin with us and he did great..
Mac the Knife was out, stylish as ever, Skippy returned to us , so did Luke !!
That was also a fierce nice bottle of Bulmers with Ice Outside Lambers !!
I was also very impressed with the way Senior riders dropped to the rear every so often to boost the slower savages..
I thought I'd be bollixed after yesterdays spin but I wasn't !! Brilliant first outing for the XCOD !!
Spinners of the day were RichardL, Harri and Lucaz ( forfun) Lucaz first spin with us and he did great..
Mac the Knife was out, stylish as ever, Skippy returned to us , so did Luke !!
That was also a fierce nice bottle of Bulmers with Ice Outside Lambers !!
I was also very impressed with the way Senior riders dropped to the rear every so often to boost the slower savages..
I thought I'd be bollixed after yesterdays spin but I wasn't !! Brilliant first outing for the XCOD !!

Can only agree with what everyone has posted,throw in the sunny weather and the mostly dry trails too.Great group of lads to be out with,and the drink outside the pub afterwards was nice and relaxing.
man that was some spin! Yeah - relentless pace hour one, then hours two and three seemed to fly by! Just like RichardL I rode things I never dreamed of getting over before - an amazing spin, no faffin' about - just speedin' by! What a day too - great weather, great company on great trails! Why would you be anywhere else?
Had such a laugh with Smivers balsting down some of the trails, I was so loose it was too funny, he was just waiting for the big crash that didn't come (luckily)

now..what some people don't realise is that there are so many absolutely brilliant, experienced riders on these spins..they're not just enthusiastic club members , they are talented race winning superstars.
Theres nowhere else that you will get to ride with top ranked riders like the senior members of the club.
I can't imagine other clubs sharing the wealth and experience that people like Alfie, Damo and Gerry have..just by riding with them you will get better.
Last year Smithers couldn't last the pace from Lambes to Ticknock.now look at him..

Even Adamski, Oz , Tim and Als were not the savages they are now..
a winter of misery and pain with me hardened them into the savages they are..
Luke and Fergal..do you remember the 8.00am Saturday morning screamers ?
Oh and you should have seen the cut of Eoin Keith on an MTB !!
So if you are on these spins and you are demoralised because you see lads disapearing into the distance and you're left with your mouth open going " whathefuuuahhh?"
With a bit of dedication you will be the punter next year people will be looking at the same way!
And while I have heard people sniffle that the savage spins are no craic and boring..
Come on..

I can't imagine other clubs sharing the wealth and experience that people like Alfie, Damo and Gerry have..just by riding with them you will get better.
