Alright Marathon racers..
I'm heading to Ballyhoura for the day on Saturday 11th September, leaving my house at 8.00
Should be in Ballyhoura by 10.30.
Doing the 51k Loop and driving home.
Not for the weak , the fainthearted or 6" bikes unless you don't mind doing your own thing.
Then stopping for dinner somewhere on the way back.
Serious Roccers or Marathon Champ trainers..
I'm travelling down on Sat to do the red loop with Richie and whoever else makes it, I have room to carry someone and their bike if anyone wants a lift.
I live in Bray so can collect anyone before I hit the M7.
well that was excellent..me, Alfie, Stu and Jackson took 2hrs 59 minutes to get around the 50k loop !!!
Hard work at the top of the red loop with some long drags.
2.5 hours down to Ballyhoura with the new roads !!
We'll be doing a once a Month spin down there over the winter..great long loop on a fantastic trail..the little improvements make it absolutely brilliant to ride..but those boardwalks....oh no..they're horrific to say the least !!
they've made a lot of little improvements that really add to it..if you are going for an EPIC style MTB experience you won't get it.
But I've been doing loads of 50k spins lately and i fancied somewhere that wouldn't be schlomped out and 100% rideable..
I enjoyed today because it did its job..we could have shaved a lot more time off, I was bruised with a hangover and struggled near the end..Jackson attempted to kill me twice as well !!
Alfie is really some savage on a Trance though !!
