Tuesday Night Spin

Hello, Myself and RL are goin to be running a tuesday night spin for near and wannabe savages from now till X-mas.

We will be leaving Lambs at 6.30 for a 2 hour training spin.

I will be goin at my pace and Richard at his, so if you want to improve then come along but let us know by posting up here.

We plan to do the same route every week, so you and myself and RL will be able to see improvements and give the ok to join in on the savage spin.

Myself and RL will be cycling non stop so if you have mechanicals or cant keep up then then you need to be able to look after yourselfs.

Tuesday the 19th will be a reci spin of a good route I have in mind, nice long climb, tech sections and fast single track but all rideable. The pace will be easy for the 1st spin so you have an idea of where it goes.

So if your in post your interest.

Cheers Smithers

Thats you finished with the grown ups, so. This is not going to be as easy as some of you people think and is not an excuse to back off or slow up. This is a very serious spin, I'll be on it next week and so will the Elites.
Smithers is not running a non savage spin..hes just offering an alternative to mine and make no mistake, he won't be hanging back to mind anybody.
I didn't think that smithers would be hanging around, I just didnt want to be left out in Glendo with just meself and a pack of rabid sheep. Don't you worry, my plan is to be busting my balls to keep up/ overtake all around me!!!
yeah i'll be there for who ever i can keep up with. Is djouce dropped on tuesdays now. I had just got used to that switch back climb.
I'll be there for this. I think combining my first ever night spin with my first time doing Camaderry would be a step too far.
this is the Tuesday night spin..Smithers is in charge with RL..I'll be doing a Tuesday night spin when I can ( which is hopefully every week) but it won't be for the fainthearted.

Colm is also doing a Night spin.

Its like this folks, we are the only Club in the entire country that organises spins for different levels. Everybody else ,including the road clubs. Runs one spin, you keep up or you get dropped.
It has entered my mind more than once that it is a weakness, if everybody was forced to keep Damo in sight, maybe we'd have more National Champions and no whingers..

I was starting to see an improvement doing the Djouce Tuesday night spins. I want to get fit over the winter and get out on the bike as much as I can so I'm on for these spins.
its not so much where you go on these spins, its the fact that you go every week. 2 hours is the max time you should be out, this side of Christmas.
The last thing you want is to be out in the cold and wet for more than that.
This year I'm recommending to anybody who's planning on racing next year, that they do one Offroad Night ride and 1 road spin. Nothing too savage and nothing too far.
90mins or 2 Hours maximum.
A little a lot is better than a long one , then a gap and then burying yourself the next time.
And a lot of you are riding with people below your ability or too close to your ability.
If you want to improve, you have to ride with people who will give you a challenge.
If you miss one of my spins for two weeks..forget it, unless you are one of the accomplished racers who I know are training on their own.
This doesn't apply to Sundays by the way

Well that was good, Poor Culchie had a mechanical in the 1st 25mins so of he went, Myself, Phil Tighe, Daragh (Dman) and Damian and Nipples continued on. The pace was ok as I was feeling a bit stiff, but that wont last long. I'm hoping more people will turn up for these as they will bring you on leaps and bounds. Lynchie should be around for next week but might not so I will take it easy again untill I have someone at the rear. We did 1.45 mins very little stopping about 5mins in total nice one lads!!!

Oh Yeh met a right bunch of waco's up there GC, Al, Silvo, Fergal, A.Ayling, Cummins and a few more, Great to see so many people out enjoying the crispy dry trail 3 rock has to offer oh and Sean the happy fairy. Is this a secret DH cool kids spin?
Cheers daragh really enjoyed that
Man 3 rock has a lot to offer looking forward to getting to know the trails a bit better in the dark
well done Darragh and the lads..I would also have thought there would be more out on this too.

Cheers Darragh for a good spin. The trails were nice and dry up there. It was a small group but the pace was good, not too fast and no hanging around.
