Beginner/Intermediate spin from mid January onwards.

Leaving Kindlestown car park at 12' O'Clock on Sunday 16.01.2011

Aiming to run these all year but keep an eye on the forum to make sure it's running.

The spin will wait for the slowest riders so nobody will get left behind, the pace, distance and trails will be suitable for just about anybody, these spins are open to non-members but they must join the club and join Cycling Ireland through EPIC after three spins if they wish to continue attending these or other club spins.

You'll need a bike in good working order and a helmet is essential, bring the usual stuff and wear suitable clothing for whatever weather conditions were having at the time, we'll be out and about for around two hours.

Usual stuff: Spare Tube (or Two), Pump, Bottle or Camelback, Bar or Snack, Multitool, Tyre levers, Mobile Phone.

Cool, i'd be game for this... Not quite a beginner, but figure its being so long, i might as well be!
Sure..head along Simo, bet you wont be quite as rusty as you think you are.

And for anybody who doesn't have a car, the Dart station is about half an hour away...now that bikes are allowed on it.
Brilliant, love the posters... See you there... I have a mate that wants to get into mountain biking, if he can get his hands on a bike, could he join us? I'd say he'd be handy enough...

He sure was handy enough alright, he didn't seem to have any hassle with it at all...that was a good old spin, trails were mucky but the weather was great yesterday, probably more intermediate than beginner pace as it turned out for the few of us that were there as we covered most of the trails quick enough, we didn't even encounter any bike problems or accidents along the way.
Good spin, thanks Jay..

I got to see just how slippy ignitors are in the muddy schlomp! ;D
Yea cheers Jay for that, great spin... God yea, my mate seamed to be flying along, kinda forgot how much he commutes about on his road bike... Going to put a good bit of effort in over the next few weeks getting my legs back to the levels they were 2 years ago!
Thanks Lads, yeah sure you'll be flying up those hills again in no time at all, I'll be out there every Sunday at that time from now on anyway if you ever want to head out again, can never say how many people will be there or how much we'll get around in two hours but I'll be up there even if nobody turns up....I'll be gone home quicker though.
