Tuesday 11.1.11 Interval Training killiney Hill

I aim to be there,

question; after the first lap, do we go back though Dalkey village or cut back via the Dart station or does not not really matter?
everybodys welcome and yes we cut back via the Dart line..you'll see why on lap 4.
the thing to remember is this..
its not a race to the bottom of the climb.
Its a race to the top, the idea is maximum effort. So whoevers first to the top waits for everybody else.
Everybody else races everybody else.
Understood.
Race up
Wait
Cruise down
Race up

by the time you reach the bust stop , you should be vomiting !!

Great, can't wait!!!
hahahahaha..
ah yeah..well done folks..some crowd out in the p*ssing rain !!
I'd say there were a few near vomiters..
you were all deadly tonight..if those 3.5 Laps don't turn you into fierce beasts nothing will !!
Fair play to Jackson for coming all the way from ROundwood and Orla from the back of beyond !!
big improvements from last week !!
and a big thanks to assistant Coach Max Power !!
RichardL should consider a couple of IVCA races for 2011, seriously

That was great, I love those quick and fierce sessions. If somebody had told me last year that I would be racing The Greg on a road bike up Killaney Hill I would have laughed...
even better... that I would be happy that I managed to stay on his wheel all the way up on the 3rd lap! Elites is going to be interesting this year, that's for sure!

oh yeah..
you better believe it. The standard in the CLub is sky high..those of you who are not having a go at these are going to be left behind. Not only are they a savage training session, they are social and everybody is enjoying the usual banter.
PS
I am way faster than I ever thought I would be again !! thanks kids, you have revitalised my interest in racing !!
Yea that was great, felt alot stronger than last week thankfully. Fitness is coming back slowly after not getting out much last month. As RL said afterwards it was strangely enjoyable!!
Loved that ..... if it's possible to love that much pain in the lashings of rain!! The speed of Byrner had to be seen to be believed - I'd swear he was in the big ring going up Vico road!
