Solution required to deformed drop out

Has anyone had a similar issue per what I've just observed on the Titus?

Basically - the axle has compressed/deformed the drop out on one side, the other side is fine.
If left as is - it'll be kinda disastrous I would think.

The actual axle itself is fine, it's possibly a manufacturing fault, I'm pretty sure this kind of thing shouldn't be happening so soon, I would have assumed this area would have been reinforced, but apparently not.

Anyway - if this has happened to you on a carbon frame and you fixed it - I'd like to know how

Stew had given me some good pointers last night and Oz has advised that Morty might be able to shed some advice on it too.

TBH.. if it was me the first thing I'd do is get in touch with Titus... see what they say before looking for advice here..

I'm hoping it's a warranty claim, but in between now and when I hopefully get a replacement, there's the last of the club races and the last NPS that I'd like to have the bike working for

no worries, it's about time the big bike got a few spins anyway, after all, Byrner has decreed this to be "freeride season" whatever that means...

It means doing XC spins on bikes that are not XC bikes as 99.99% of the time there is actually no 'freeriding' involved...!

Wow.. carbon dropouts..that's just nuts! Usually that part is aluminum with the carbon chain and seatstays attached to it. I'd be interesting to see what the guys from Titus say.

that's what I thought Max - I'd have assumed that section would have been made of a hardier material....

Speaking of deformed dropouts there was this guy who left my college in third year, and he had 6 toes on each foot.

Some serious carbon munching there Fergal, definitely a warranty replacement. Hope you haven't sold your Rock Mountain HT yet.

nah - the HT is still sitting in the corner awaiting a lucky wise investor...

"Not fit for Purpose" would be the term I'd use for this and would be my approach if they don't play ball with the warranty

you could blow head-sized bubbles only for them to burst all over your face and you lookin' like Freddie Krueger for the rest of the day

Hubba bubba was the stuff that didn't stick .....or taste like chewin' gum.
