Mavic crossmax SL hub

Is anyone out there selling a Mavic crossmax SL hub (rear - dunno if there is a difference??).

Apparantly the rims normally go before the hubs so there is a chance that someone might have one lurking around...

Good luck with that... from my own past experiences I can tell you sourcing Mavic spares is a complete nightmare..

You'd be far better off with these wheels that Richard L is selling... they are probably in mint condition knowing him...

The Xmax SL rear hub (if you can get one and then get it built up) will probably set you back as much as the pair of wheels...

Do you mean the freehub or the complete hub ?

If its the freehub, a new one cost me ~70 yoyo last time, a complete rip off for what it is.

The nylon bushings inside the freehub wears far too quickly for what the wheel costs. The cynic inside me says its a design feature but in fairness regular cleaning does extend the lifetime.

You could also buy a 3rd party freehub rebuild kit. This one looks good;

They may be a bit overpriced but the hubs are top notch and 100% reliable.. if your looking to build up a solid set of wheels then Hope hubs are right up there with the best of them... certainly surpasses any Xmax hub in terms of longevity and performance.. as far as I'm concerned..
