Yes, you'll have to get the same size axle you have at the moment to fit your fork, but if you get a set of wheels with Hope hubs they can be converted to be either Qr, 15mm or 20mm which is very handy if you ever change your forks/bike.
you need to make sure it has the right axles sizes for rear for your frame and front for your forks.
generally fro the rear its 120mm up to 150mm. and fro the fork they go in 9mm, 15mm(rare) and 20mm.
Your advice is a bit clouded... your giving him the diameter of front axles and only the length of rear axles.. but no mention of the diameter... which are critical... 9mm, 10mm, 12mm etc..!
and I'd like to know what MTB frame takes a 120mm rear axle..??

when you say you can convert the hope hubs what do you exactly mean?what do you have to buy in order to convert?can you convert 20mm hubs in order to fit my rockshox recon forks?i want to get a spare wheelset to have so i can swap during seasons and for races etc.i have been looking down the secondhand route and it seems there are lots but with varying hub sizes etc.
just doing some research and seems you can buy adaptors that go on the end of larger hub so you can fit standard qr axle like i have on my bike already.that should work shouldnt it???
It all depends on your hubs.. what hubs are you using..?
If you have Hope hubs you'll be fine as 9/10 times you just buy the appropriate conversion kit and away you go..
Most hub manufacturers are not as versatile as Hope for different size axle conversions so you will need to buy the right hub first time round..
If your looking for a second wheelset for racing then just buy the exact same set of wheels but fit lighter rims.. that way you won't have spacing issues at the caliper / rotor end of things either..
would the spacing be easily adjusted changing between the wheels.is it a case of re-setting the caliper to rotor each time?
to find out about my qr mm do i just measure the skewer length or will it say it on it? my rotors are not bolted on but have the lock your talking about.
