Looking for a bit of advise on dirt jumpers. I'm living fairly close to St. Annes and have a Skate park beside me and reckon it's time to give it a go.
Can anybody in the know recomend a decent bike for me. I'm only going second hand and as cheap as decent bike allows.
I think I'd like to stay on a 26" wheel bike as i reckon any skills gained will transfere over easier to the mountain side.
Is there much of an advantage in 24"
What about Forks ? Travel lenght, type's etc. Any advice appreciated.
Anyone got one for sale ?
Heya, dunno much about DJ bikes or fork brands / prices there are others out there who know more about that, but the basic info would be:
dj specific frame 14-15" frame
Forks ridgid or 100mm travel no more. (personal preferance)
Flat pedals are a must you cant jump in clips its not a fashion thing or anything like that there just to restrictive also you jump more on youre toes than the ball of your foot...its a foot postion thing.
Semi-slick tires no knobblies. - it wont roll properly.
brakes - doesn't matter what kind.
gears - if you want, or single speed.
decent riser bars. - Bar end plugs too!!

i've a nice scar on my stomach which followed a strange growth that was purple and yellow. All i can say is i'm glad i had bar plugs it was the most painfull crash i've had in a long while. Landed with all my weight on the end of my bars.

I think that might only come in 24" wheels. Looks good for the price though.
The 666 with the Xeno forks looks tasty but out of my budget, bleedin resession.
jump on e bay and grab a frame for not alot of money then use all those bits in ur shed and a few new bits to get it going, it may take a few weeks but will save u loads.
remember that bits break so the more u spend the more u get.
I built an Azonic steelhead 14" frame up for about 550 yoyo.
Sadly the only bits in my shed are a seat post and saddle. I've not been biking long enough to accumalate a decent stash and the wife also intercepts the viza bill in a bid to stop my kids inheritance from going to chain reaction.
Hoping to keep it below 400 anyway preferably 300.
I won't be hitting anything big on it for a while if ever. Looser talk I know but not planning on paying for x-ray's and what not as well.
