MTB front shocks - lock out not fully locking out?

Hi

I recently bought a new Giant XTC 3 with the RockShox Recon Silver TK Solo Air front suspension. I've put 200 psi into it (based on my weight) but when in the "lock" position, there is still a little bit of movement - is this normal?

Also, after a ride on trails, the "movement on lock" seems more. After checking the pressure after about 3 weeks of use (once on a trail), the pressure was 170 psi. There also seems to be a squeeking noise when I bounce on the front suspension.

Dont know if this is normal and does trail runs mean that you need to re-pressurise your front shocks alot, or is there a problem/fault ye think with the front shocks? Do the shocks normally "leak" pressure?

Thanks

Classic :)
I'm just under 90kg and I was running 80-90psi on my old 130mm Recons, but I set them up by sag rather than using the sticker on the fork.
My mistake. Schoolboy error!

Fork actually says 175+psi for 95kg+ as being the max, but then less than that for fork movement of some sort. Hope I have not fecked the fork now - it was actually the bike shop who pumped it for me!

Anyway, my original question still stands in that should there be "play" even when the fork is "locked"?

Thanks for all the help

With my 120mm Rockshox Rebas there was always a bit of movement even when "locked out"! Alfie in Expert Cycles will sort it out if you have a problem!
Depends on the fork. My RS SIDs have some movement when locked out, my Fox forx have none...
all rock shock forks have some movement about 10-15mm of travel depending on the fork. There is ways to reduce the amount of movement but its nothing to worry about.
