So I took apart the doo hickey at the top of the right leg, cleaned it out, greased it up, new cable, all good. But still there is no rotational 'spring' in the leg, it feels rough and the remote pop lock still does not work.
I assume the problem is not with the pop lock but inside the leg itself, any ideas how to sort it out?
Don, I've had the same trouble twice recently - no spring in the crown part of the poploc. there is a wee plastic thing in the Motion Control that loosens or cracks or something. Its supposed to be notoriously weak and fiddley. I got mine replaced under warranty earlier in the year, but it happened again and as of a few weeks ago the poploc is in the bin.
it baffles me why top racers would trust a pop-loc over a crown control anyway.
surely lads paying big bucks for a set of new forks are also capable of bending down to the top of the crown, or just leave the blasted thing always open? poplocs seem to be guaranteed trouble and too expensive to fix. anyway, thats the rant.
Its easily serviceable and usually to do with a dirt clogging up the seals at the top. Id tell you how to do it but i dont fancy spending that much time typing
I have had several pairs of Rockshox with the Poploc on them..no issues. i think you freaking goobers make up these abysmal excuses to blame your miserable performances on the bikes..
