Need an entry level hardtail for the OM

My dad at 81 has decided he's to old to fly aeroplanes anymore, he wants to downsize to a mountain bike. Needless to say I am delighted at this move ;D

This'll be for fairly level forest trails +.

I am looking for a small or medium size hardtail, entry level is fine, aluminium frame, 100mm fork, ready to use (i.e. nothing worn out), 21-speed is fine, reputable make, budget €300.

Need a QR front wheel.
