Advice needed - Cable cleaner/lubricant

What do you use to clean and lub shifter cables.

wd40 to clean them and this stuff to lube them

new ones and if you insist on cleaning and re using your afters steer well clear of putting grease into them as it only attracts dirt and clogs them up.

ok, thx for an advice. Question two then, is any point spending € on expensive cables/outercables or just get 5m of no names?

yeah the high quality cable kits do last and are sealed better so do last that bit longer. Goodridge, Gore Ride on and the genuine Shimano XTR have all worked pretty well for me over the years
