Brake Pads not Releasing

This is bit of a odd question I know but sure here goes........

I've an Avid Ultimate 7 brake on the the front fork and as I prefer to
put the bike in the boot as apposed to a rack I have to take the front wheel off.

Now I always end up gripping the front brake leaver and the pads don't disengage fully which is a pain putting the wheel back in.

Does this happen normally or should the pads release fully and allow the wheel brake rotor back in.

Stick a clothes peg or similar into it as they aren't made to be opened when wheel is off

If you got some spare cash, BBB carry the tool!

Quick release axle system.
Protects the front fork when the wheel is removed.
With disc brake pad adapter.
Keeps the brake pads in place when the disc is removed.

Just stick a Euro or 2 euro coin in as soon as you take the wheel off and before you press the lever..
Pads do not release normally as they have to be forced against the pressure of the brake fluid
