Quick question for all you epic mtb gods - I noticed the top jockey wheel nearest the cassette on my XTR derailleur has a little play. It can move 3-4mm laterally. Time for a new wheel? I'm wondering if the bearing is gone. The bike has started ghost-shifting lately even after I replaced the cables so I'm wondering if this is related to the jockey wheel.

I'm no god but it's supposed to have some play in it, you might just need to re-adjust stuff to get it working properly....a new wheel is cheap if you think it's bolloxed though, no need to fit an xtr back to it, a cheap shimano wheel for a fiver will work just as well.
