Bits wanted

I'm trying to get my xc bike going again for some training over the christams holidays and need a few bits for it. If anyone has any of them lying around that they don't need and would be willing to let go cheap let me know here.

octalink bb, thats the one thats not isis or square, the other one...

tyres, just something with a bit of grip and that roll well, not too fussy.

chain, again just something that works.

shimano xt brake pads, mine got oily.

rear mech.

rear shifter.

i have everything else but the bikes just built up from spare parts and bodged bits so not too pushed on spending money on it cause I'll end up making a habit of it.

what axle length bb do you need.

emm I'm not sure actually, whatever the standard one is if there is one. It's a planet-x jackflash if you know what that takes. I'll measure tomorrow and let ya know.

it depends on what cranks your running theres 3 sizes 110 118 and 121mm

i have some old 7 speed gripshift shifters front and rear circa 1995 ish,if u want em.

i have a 9spd sram x5 shifter if your interested , also if anybody has an alivio shifter that they want to sell , please tell me , i cant find one anywhere !!!

is that the one with the brake lever on it ? , cos i only need the shifter , and i thought you could only get 9spd lx ? , is it an old one?

al, I don't have a clue what size bb the cranks need, is there any way of knowing by lookin at the cranks? does it matter much if its the wrong size? ive been running different cranks on the same bb for a while now and it hasn't seemed to make much difference. I haven't had to deal with anything other than hollowtech for the last few years so don't have a clue about it.

afgan, I already have some grip shift shifters from an old raleigh but don't fancy using the gripshift, i find it changes when your givin her loads on the descents so try to stick with the flappy paddle gear box. thanks for the offer though.

and usemyillusion 12, i have a deore mech so wouldn't be able to use the sram shifter. thanks anyway though.

right i have the bike pretty much sorted now, all i need is the little tensioner for a sram mech. the one that touches off the dropout holding the mech back and keeping it tensioned, its just black little black stopper. i actually need two of them, the one on the dh bike broke aswell. their e13 on crc for the bolt with the tensioner on it and don't wanna pay that much for a bolt. so if anyone has a broken sram mech that they're not using and it has one on it let me know, cheers.
