Kyle Strait Knee Guards - both the same?

Does anyone know if there is any difference between a Kyle Strait Knee Guard and a Kyle Strait Patriot Knee Guard? The guy in Cyclogical tells me, on the phone, that they are the same except for the colour but I'm not convinced! They have large size in the Patriot, but not in the other and I don't want to go all the way into town (on a wet Friday in December) and find that they're not right!

Hey Richard have a look at Chainreaction. There are two types of kyle Strait pads, the normal ones in variety of colors and the slim knee in a variety of colors. The ones I had on on Sunday were the Tomcat Knee. Also have a look at the 661 Evo, there are meant to be very good, a bit more expensive though.

It's just the colour, I tried both on and didn't find a differnece. The Patriot just has a blue/red 661 logo on it.

Thanks John - I had a look at that earlier! I suspect that the Patriot may have hard plastic in it while the slim one may be soft! I'd like to get something before the weekend - going to try and join Richie etc in the morning!

They are all pretty much both the same except for the colour.. and the price too.. all the same..

Richard.. I've a nice pair of Veggie Wrap knee pads (like these) for sale if your interested.. if you don't get sorted in town today you can take them and try em out over the weekend to see what you think..
