From what I read on the inter web the SLX are just slightly dumber versions of the XT, but use most of the same tech, and the XT's are the best brakes I've ever used. To summarize, buy these brakes.
Well if any of the stampede are interested I have a set of XT brakes for sale. They are used - but not very much. Came new on my Epic last August, and I had ridden 160K before I swapped them out in March (so strava tells me). I have been meaning to put an ad up but never got around to it. They are in perfect nic. Ill stick a photo up before the weekend or can bring them along on Thursday night if anyone wants to see them. Looking for €150.
Daragh, for you I can throw in two out of date Lucozade sport gels, of unknown flavour. slight leak in one, but 80% of the gel remains inside the foil pack.
Dont ask me technical questions Don - I have no clue, there is both a silver and black colour on them! jeeeeeese....
Yes but I need ratios, is it black to silver 60/40 or Silver to black 30/90??? Chrome is heavier than black so you may need to run sintered instead or organic pads. I feel fuses in my brain blowing, I need to lie down.
