crossmark tyres - good / bad?

Got a free set of new Maxxis crossmark tyres off a mate
Does anyone have experience of them - good / bad / indifferent

Good tyres for the race on Sunday..

I used them racing for years and loved them - for dry, mud, everything. I started using schwalbes now cause I think they are lighter but definitely not as tough. I put on crossmarks for the cork nps last year and was one of the few who finished without puncturing in s1.

New tyres are always worth a try and with the weather like this you might just get away with it. I found them a bit fragile and prone to clogging when things got anyway schlompy. But as a dry race tyre well with a punt.

Do what I do,stick them on,pump them up to 40 psi and ride youre bike! Dry,muddy,rocky or rooty-every tyre rides the same to me!

See I knew I couldn't be the only one who follow this line of mega psi all the time!
