Woodwork advice please.

I know we have a few masters of wood around here, and not the rude kind. Stewart, Roo?

I have a timber door threshold strip that need about 1-2mm removed off the bottom, how can I do this? I suspect a few minutes on a bench belt sander would be ideal, I think planing will butcher it, as I need the bottom side to be totally flat as it sits on a tiled floor.

Any ideas, do you guys have this kind of gear or know where I could take it to be done?

I have a table saw, and a router table. either will do the job. However, I have a mate with a woodworking shop that would do it for you also. he's closer to you, and has a super-fcuk-off-bling-tablesaw.. he won't charge you.

you have a threshold and you want to remove a few millimetres from the door ? we do thresholds and storm barriers etc..
i'm confused ,do you know what kind of threshold it is..i will ring you tomorrow..

Richie, no its the wooden threshold strip that bridges the floor in the kitchen to the floor in the utility. I need 2mm off the strip as it is too tall. I can't plane the door, its complicated, but trust me.

No way, without the strip there is a 10mm gap, there's no way I could jump that.
