Ok Kiddies has anyone used these?

Can you tell me what the difference is between Trailstar and Pacestar and ORC is a performance race tyre.

Im a bit concerned about them being tubeless ready and not Tubeless, so once again anyone who has used them let me know what you think..........Don?

Ask Dave OToole in bikeaddition, he's been running them on his remedy this last year.

I'm running pacestar 2.25 nobby on the rear. "tubeless ready" popped straight on, beaded straight in with track pump no probs, then I just added 60ml of latex gloop and haven't had to look back since Feb. Pacestar side walls are very thin though... hence great spread and traction @ 30psi no need to deflate lower and no weight in tyre at all. thread is medium and grippy with around 30-40% wear on centre blocks after a solid year.

Well if they're anything like the "tubeless ready" Nobby Nicks that I've been using ....

Kellyer has one on the front of his zesty, seems to think its good anyway, not positive which one he has but think its prob the tubeless ready one!! I would definitely not recommend a Panaracer Cedric gracia yoke that I have on my front wheel anyway, its a pile of ****e!!

Sorry Smithers, haven't tried them yet. I've heard enough first hand ambivalent reports not to be too bothered either. Hans Dampf is the German equivalent of Jack of All trades, in other words, Master of None. Still curious about them though.


Pacestar is stiff and lasts longer, recomended as an XC tire.
Trailstar is a softer grippier version.
VertStar is softer still for downhill use.

Yeah I'm running a 2.35 on the front, very happy with it. Quite light for that type of tyre, nice soft compound with loads of grip, in particular on off camber stuff. Rolls well and has tough sidewalls in comparison to a Nobby Nic, so can be run with low PSI for lots of grip

I just got them in the shop..they are calling to me right now ..I sold a fair few in a previous shop I was incarcerated in..a fine tyre, a very fine tyre. But hey we all know its the Micky not the Rubber !

I've used one for a couple of months on the front. No problems with the tubeless ready aspect, roll well, wear well. May suit wider rims better as I found I had to run it at about 30psi to stop it rolling on the bead on faster corners. All in all a good summer tyre.
However show mud to it and it will try and kill you

In fairness it will go back on for a dry race or somewhere that's predominately hard pack. You could say sure all tyres do well on that stuff but they do better. I'd say the bike parks will be full of them .
