carbon frame repairs

I managed to bury my big ring into the chainstay of my XTC in Djouce on sunday. The frame isn't holed but there's a gash in it a couple of mm deep.
Looking at it the damage doesn't seem too bad and I'd be tempted to ride it but should probably get it fixed. I seem to remember that there's somewhere you can get carbon frames fixed. Anyone know where and and anyone had a similar situation ? thanks

There are a few places now that do it, I used a guy called Frank Casey 087 272 1241, he fixed a few other mtbs in the last few years.
Some other people do it too, but I don't have their details.
Is it close to the BB? There is a fair bit of flex there so it might be tricky, if its further towards the rear axle then it should be no problem.

his name is Frank Casey (087 2721241). He's based in Ardclough near Straffan Co Kildare. He'l easily fix that, you'd want to see some of the stuff he's fixed.

yeh I tested positive for botox during the Gorey last year...

did you do Gorey last year?

yeh had to drop out due to the doping controls

thanks lads ! yep, not going well on the MTB bike front at the moment, might convert to the road full time, now that Lance has come clean and the sport has regained all it's credibility !

Try this guy, he makes surfboards with carbon in them but is an all round excellent crafts man and has fixed bikes before, he's a straight up guy and will tell you if he can't do it.
