I'd love to get a cross bike but one that was suitable for decent road spins too. Is there any merit in doing this or are they poxy on the road? My road bike is crap so I need a new one and was thinking of getting a cross bike. But maybe it's a false economy. Any advice from u learned folk.

Used my cross bike for two seasons and raced it on the road too. Its grand. Get something with discs.
