100mm 29er Forks

Hi Folks,

I'm in the process of building up a light 29er race hardtail and I'm tore between 2 100mm 29er forks...

1.) 32 FLOAT 29 100 FIT CTD Remote (Kashima)

OR

2.) Rockshox SID XX solo air with XLoc Sprint.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I had the same dilemma couple of months back. Went with the xx sids. Great fork. No regrets. But its a personal preference thing. Not a whole lot between them.

Thanks for the reply OZ, yea my head is fractured trying to decide. I've always ran with fox and I love the way the handle, however I'm forever servicing them.
So I thought I'd give the Sids a try, have yo noticed and flex on the forks?

Haven't noticed any flex. Went sids cause i wanted the xx lock out and they were half the price of fox.

No hassle with seals. Had to get upper replaced as they were creaking which is a common issue on 29ers. They are lovely 18months of abuse and still good

Have you considered X fusions?

I have a pair of x fusion velvets and can honestly say they match my rebas easily. The X fusion "slide" 29ers are a great deal and get great reviews. Not as light as rock shox, but at a fraction of the price
